Schmid Attorneys at Law is a fully independent law firm with offices in Zurich and Bern. Our main focus lies on the middle market, by providing legal advice/services in all matters relating to national and international commercial law and representing the interests of our clients in front of Swiss courts and authorities as well as in front of arbitral tribunals.

Peter J. Schmid
Counsel
Peter J. Schmid’s practice focuses on Capital Markets & Finance, Corporate law, M&A, Pharma & Healthcare law. He has worked with several mandates in large restructurings of publicly listed as well as private corporations.
Peter J. Schmid is a recognised representative according to art. 43 of the Listing Rules and is accordingly authorised to lodge applications for listed corporations with SIX Exchange Regulation. Since May 2023 Peter Schmid is working as a counsel and is no longer active in litigation.
Finally, Peter J. Schmid serves as an executive body (in particular as a board member) in various areas.

Michèle Marschner
Partner
Michèle Marschner is German Attorney and joined Schmid Attorneys at Law in 2013. Michèle Marschner predominantly advises foreign clients on the relocation of their business to Switzerland as well as on the establishment of companies and foundations related thereto.
After obtaining her German bar admission, Michèle Marschner has been active as an independent practitioner in Berlin with a focus on real estate and corporate matters as well as on the assistance of start-ups. In that capacity she has advised a large number of international investors.
